The YWCA Lincoln would like to invite 10-15 Middle School Girls to join us in a week-long fun summer science camp! SciGirls is a PBS television show that is funded by the National Science Foundation. There are currently 5 seasons you can stream on-demand. This specific program cycle will be season number 7. There are 16 national parks participating in this program that collaborates with girl-serving organizations. The program theme is citizen science and gender equity. Citizen science is the practice of public participation and collaboration in scientific research to increase scientific knowledge. Through citizen science, people share and contribute to data monitoring and collection programs (National Geographic Society).
